WHAT KIND OF CHURCH IS CCC?
Our Organization: We are part of the Church of the Nazarene, which is organized in over 100 countries. See www.nazarene.org for more information.
Mission: Formed by grace, we are learning together to live and love like Jesus.
We believe that humans have been created for the Creator who has revealed himself in Christ Jesus. This great Savior, Jesus, teaches us what it means to be fully alive and fully human. Yes, the way of Jesus--learning to love God and others--is both the road and the destination through which we experience the abundant life Christ offers us.
This new life begins and is sustained by Christ’s forgiving love and his empowering presence. With God’s help, we are working to become a multi-generational, multi-ethnic community that is learning to live and love like our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. At the same time, we are actively extending invitations and help to any who are interested in this new way of life.
The Great Commandment: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind . . . And love your neighbor as yourself” (Jesus, Matthew 22).
The Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Jesus, Matthew 28).
With God's help we want to be disciples (life-long learners and followers) of Jesus, and we want to help others interested in joining us on this journey of growing in God's love.
